Build an Interior Design Portfolio — No Coding Required

Build an interior design portfolio website without coding using Lovable. Project galleries, service packages, inquiry forms, and SEO — live in 30 minutes. No WordPress needed.

What You'll Build

A stunning interior design portfolio with:
  • Project galleries organized by room or style
  • Service packages with pricing and process overview
  • Client inquiry form connected to a database
  • SEO-optimized pages for Google and AI search engines
  • Mobile-responsive design that showcases your aesthetic

Tool: Lovable (no coding needed) Time: ~30 minutes Cost: Free tier to start

Step 1: Why Not WordPress?

WordPress needs hosting, plugins, security updates, and a developer when things break. Lovable generates a real website from a text description — no code, no maintenance, no server management. You own the code and can export to GitHub anytime.

Step 2: Describe Your Site

Go to lovable.dev → New Project. Paste this prompt and customize the brackets:

text
Build a modern interior design portfolio website for [Your Name / Studio Name], an interior designer specializing in [style — e.g., modern minimalist, bohemian luxury, Scandinavian, transitional] design for [project types — e.g., residential homes, boutique hotels, commercial spaces] in [City/Region].

Pages needed:
- Home: Elegant hero with a full-width project image placeholder, studio name overlaid, tagline "[Your Tagline — e.g., Designing Spaces That Tell Your Story]", and a "View Projects" CTA button. Below, show a curated grid of 4 project thumbnails (image placeholders with project name and location on hover), a short design philosophy statement, and a list of publications you've been featured in.
- Portfolio: Project gallery with filter tabs by space type ([Living Room], [Kitchen], [Bedroom], [Bathroom], [Office], [Full Home]). Each project card shows a large hero image, project name, location, and style. Click through to a project detail page.
- Project Detail: Individual project page with image gallery (6-10 photos per project as placeholders), project description, design brief, challenges and solutions, materials/brands used, and before/after comparison section.
- Services: Design service packages ([Consultation — $X/hour], [Room Design — $X], [Full Home Design — $X], [Commercial Design — Custom]). Each includes the process steps (Discovery, Concept, Design, Implementation), timeline, deliverables, and a "Start a Project" CTA.
- About: Your design background, education, awards, design philosophy, press features, and a professional photo. Include a "Process" section showing your 4-5 step design process with icons.
- Contact: Project inquiry form with name, email, phone, project type dropdown ([Single Room], [Multiple Rooms], [Full Home], [Commercial]), budget range dropdown ([Under $5K], [$5K-$15K], [$15K-$50K], [$50K+]), timeline, and project description textarea. Include studio address, email, and Instagram handle.

Design: Refined, editorial, visually luxurious. Light, airy color palette — [warm whites and soft stone] with [brass / matte black] accents. Elegant serif headings, thin sans-serif body. Generous whitespace, full-bleed images, subtle hover animations. The design should feel like a high-end shelter magazine.

SEO: Add proper meta titles and descriptions to every page. Include an XML sitemap, robots.txt, and LocalBusiness schema markup. Target "interior designer in [city]" and "[style] interior design [city]" keywords.

Mobile responsive. Fast loading. Gallery adapts to swipeable carousel on mobile.

Checkpoint: Lovable generates a full preview with all pages in the sidebar.
